Nestled in the lush landscapes of Maskeliya, Hugging Clouds is truly a sanctuary for the weary traveler, and it stole my heart during my recent Christmas stay. The atmosphere was delightfully cozy and welcoming, making it feel almost like a home away from home - perfect for a solo art lover such as myself, seeking solace amid the beauty of Sri Lanka. I had the pleasure of indulging in their well-priced on-site restaurant, where the variety of teas-over ten kinds-was a delightful surprise, enhancing the relaxing ambiance. I highly recommend their spacious rooms that offer breathtaking views of the valley, as my own room had a charming balcony that provided a perfect spot to unwind and reflect on the day's adventures. The staff, particularly Madu and his family, were incredibly attentive, ensuring that every guest, including those trekking Adam's Peak, felt well taken care of. Their local insights and helpful recommendations, including transport options and tour assistance, added that special touch to my stay, making it truly memorable. If you're seeking an artistic and unique experience in Sri Lanka, my vote is firmly for Hugging Clouds-an outstanding accommodation that encapsulates the essence of local charm and hospitality. I look forward to returning, and I suggest you do the same!
